Lori has extensive experience in general tort litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury law. She is a native of Chesterfield, Virginia. With a legal career spanning almost three decades, she has successfully handled complex cases in both federal and state courts throughout Virginia. Lori has managed high-exposure litigation matters, leveraging her expertise in trial advocacy, negotiations and investigations. Her prior roles in private defense firms, a personal injury firm, and Staff Counsel have honed her skills in case strategy, client advocacy, and legal analysis. She is committed to delivering exceptional legal representation and achieving favorable outcomes for her clients.

- Defended a breach of warranty suit involving a hand held grinder.
- Defended products liability case involving one of the casters on a commercial mobile laundry hamper.
- Defendant a premises suit against an animal hospital where a 90-year-old plaintiff tripped over an animal scale.
- Defended a veteran’s organization in a premises suit asserting charitable immunity which leveraged a favorable settlement with a plaintiff who suffered an impaled anus.
- Orchestrated a successful pre-suit mediation in a premises claim against a farm where the plaintiff was struck by a falling limb during a windstorm.
- Successfully achieved contractual risk transfers based on indemnification provisions in several high-exposure cases where the target company accepted my client’s tender of its defense.
- Successfully leveraged road-work contractor client’s compliance with VDOT regulations to minimize contribution to overall settlement in a wrongful death motorist claim.
- Successfully asserted defendant tenant client’s position to leverage a greater contribution to overall settlement by the landlord premises owner in a premises injury case.
- Defense verdict in a tractor trailer lane change case.
- Orchestrated a successful pre-suit mediation in a wrongful death case involving a concrete truck.
- Defended property manager and owner/operator of a resort in litigation involving an injury to the guest of a vacationer by a bifold door.
- Defended a corporate property owner in a premises case by a neighbor alleging injury from negligently maintained masonry wall.
- Filed intervention by premises owner client and successfully opposed plaintiff’s motion for leave to add client as a defendant beyond the statute of limitations in a premises case.
- Obtained significant recoveries in several subrogation claims.
- Conducted multiple fire investigations to preserve evidence and shift risk exposure away from client.
- Defended premises owner against an injury claim from an auger-related incident.
